ASUS 34" ROG Swift PG34WCDN OLED WQHD (1800R) 360 Hz USB-C

Completely insane screen, upgraded from a mini-LED and it's a big difference even though the mini-LED was also good.

In short, an absolutely fantastic monitor. The panel with a combination of qd-oled, rgb-stripe subpixel layout, 360 hz, and not least the new backshield coating takes this monitor to a level I haven't experienced with any other monitor before. I previously had a qd-oled monitor but it had issues with the black level showing gray/purple hues if the room wasn't completely dark, but this one handles light sources in the room in a completely different way and the black level is maintained unless you direct a strong light source straight at the screen or similar. The text sharpness is on a completely different level compared to previous oled screens I've used, I guess that the rgb-subpixel layout is the main reason for this. It's noticeable not only when reading text in browsers/documents etc. but also in games that have small text in their interfaces. I am simply incredibly satisfied with this monitor and warmly recommend it to anyone looking for an ultrawide monitor.

Finally sharp text on OLED! This is a panel that feels like the first OLED that works for everything, text-heavy tasks like coding, gaming, and content creation, thanks to RGB subpixels. The core of the screen seems to be some kind of metal, but the edges and controls are plastic and feel incredibly plasticky in a negative way, but fortunately you don't use them that often after the screen is configured. I have no idea how the stand/base is, I use an arm, but the VESA mount is fantastic and gives 360-degree free access for the mount, unlike, for example, many Dell screens where you mount it recessed in the screen which can cause some scraping and problems with mounting depending on what arm you have. The screen has all the features one could possibly need, an abundance of pointless "gaming modes" too, but fortunately you can just ignore using those. I want to highlight something I had forgotten about OLED myself, which is VRR flickering. The panel will flicker quite significantly if you use VRR (regardless of type) and your frame rates jump. This is something VA panels also suffer from to an even greater extent, but coming from IPS it is at least a startling experience. There are solutions, turn off VRR or have steady FPS (set reasonable limits). However, there are games like DOTA 2 where menus for some reason have extremely choppy FPS when tooltips are shown so there is some flickering. Not a reason for me not to keep it, stable games look fantastic, editing photos/video and coding on it is wonderful.
